How We Use Your Personal Data (Legal Basis for Processing)
N V Accounting takes your privacy very seriously and will never disclose, share or sell your data without your consent; unless required to do so by law. We only retain your data for 7 years as required by HMRC and for the purpose(s) specified in this notice. Where you have consented to us providing you with promotional offers and marketing, you are free to withdraw this consent at any time. Sharing and Disclosing Your Personal Information
- We do not share or disclose any of your personal information without your consent, other than for the purposes specified in this notice or where there is a legal requirement.
- In order to make certain services available to you, we may need to share your personal data with some of our service partners.
- N V Accounting only allows its service providers to handle your personal data when we have confirmed that they apply appropriate data protection and security controls. We also impose contractual obligations on service providers relating to data protection and security, which mean they can only use your data to provide services to N V Accounting LLP and to you, and for no other purposes.
- Aside from our service providers, N V Accounting will not disclose your personal data to any third party, except where legally required. We will never sell or rent our customer data to other organisations for marketing purposes.
Safeguarding Measures
- N V Accounting takes your privacy seriously and takes every reasonable measure and precaution to protect and secure your personal data. We work hard to protect you and your information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction and have several layers of security measures in place.

- regular scenario planning and crisis management exercises to ensure we are ready to respond to cyber security attacks and data security incidents;
- security controls which protect the entire IT infrastructure from external attack and unauthorised access; and
- internal policies setting out our data security approach and training for employees.
Transfers Outside the EU
- To deliver our services to you, we do have back office staff based outside of the European Economic Area. This will typically occur while carrying out our day to day responsibility. These transfers are subject to special rules under data protection laws.
- If this happens, we will ensure that the transfer will be compliant with data protection law and all personal data will be secure. Our standard practice is to use ‘standard data protection clauses’ which have been approved by the European Commission for such transfers. Those clauses can be accessed here.
Consequences of Not Providing Your Data
- We will not be able to onboard you as a client.
How Long We Keep Your Data
- N V Accounting LLP only retains the information for 7 years as directed by HMRC. We can delete the data we hold if specifically requested by you.
- Where you have consented to us using your details for direct marketing, we will keep such data until you notify us otherwise and/or withdraw your consent.
